There is the great living room with a huge stone fireplace, the bootroom/entry room with a woodstove, the bar, big picture windows with views to the west. Beyond taking meals in the dining room, it is a nice place to hang out; there is a ping pong table to one side and plenty of room to convene and work at the tables.
Things to Do
There’s lots to do at Pierce’s Inn. This includes swimming in the pool or playing tennis on our scenic hard-true court. The pond is great for skating in the winter and frogging in the summer. There are trails for hiking, skiing, and snows-shoeing. The old ski trails are still open, and folks enjoy hiking up and skiing down them. There are fun mountain bike trails a short bike ride down the road from Pierce’s Inn.
A vast lawn makes a great venue for soccer, whiffleball, volleyball, badminton, and croquet. And there is nothing better than a game of horseshoes at the cocktail hour. After dinner wrap up the evening with a hangout session around the burn pit under the stars! Outside there are nice venues to appreciate the tranquility of our remote locale. Indoors, there is ping pong, rod hockey, foosball, board games, etc.
